Darko
Darko are a five-piece frenzy of hi-octane melodic hardcore punk, with the ability to bring the party to life, both on and off stage.
Channeling the technical skill of Protest The Hero, the colossal choruses of Four Year Strong and the brutality of Slayer into a sound that’s got more in common with Pennywise, A Wilhelm Scream and Propagandhi, Darko specialise in melodic, finger-tapped guitar intricacy, woven into an explosive strain of skate-punk.
Darko are respected for their incendiary live shows, which has enabled them to build a passionate fanbase across the globe. Although they hail from the leafy suburbs of Guildford, any weekend will find them making festival appearances around Europe, or touring as far afield as Japan and Australia.
Their critically acclaimed debut album Bonsai Mammoth was released on Lockjaw Records and Bird Attack records in February 2017, following a series of themed EPs, including Sea of Trees and From Trust To Conformity.
Bonsai Mammoth is an album that’s packed full of all the satisfying choruses, mosh-pit moments and gang-vocal sing-a-longs that you’d expect from a fun-filled Darko live performance. Expect layers of mind-bending, racing guitars above impactful songwriting, a heart-racing, versatile rhythm section, and Dan Smith’s signature coarse vocal delivery.
